1958 Victress C3 Coupe For Sale

This 1958 Victress C3 Coupe is one of less than twenty examples produced in the mid to late 1950’s that has been restored and rebodied onto a 1960 Corvette frame which also includes a date code correct 283 engine, transmission, generator, frame, VIN and other components. Other period correct components incorporated into the build include Austin Healey instruments, MG heater controls, and 50’s vintage GM headlights and taillights. The one-off blue leather interior was custom made specifically for this car and nicely compliments the two-stage Gemini Blue Metallic exterior finish. The Ferrari-influenced chrome Dayton Knockoff wire wheels were employed to give the car a more European feel.

The Victress was originally designed as a hand-built fiberglass special car from the late 50’s. The original purchaser of this Victress shell had it shipped to New Hampshire in the summer of 1958. In the winter of ’58 & ’59 winter, the car was put onto a late 30’s Pontiac chassis and engine. It was on the road in ‘59. Historic Motor Sports purchased the car in 2015 and did extensive work to rebody the car and put it on the ’60 Corvette chassis.

    Victress C3 Coupe Additional Details

The Victress C3 is believed to be one of the first American-made, fiberglass, hand-built specials produced in coupe form. No more than 20 C3 coupes were produced. Historic Motor Sports used high quality materials to transform this car. The hood scoop and front grille were influenced by period-correct Ferrari design.
